The festive season at Lily Beach Resort & Spa Maldives dazzled guests from beginning to end. There were smiles and laughter all round with families and couples alike enjoying the Christmas and New Year program which was jam-packed full of fun and exciting activities, sumptuous gala dinners, and all wrapped up in our beautifully decorated tropical paradise. Our preparations turned Lily Beach into a magical festive wonderland and set the scene perfectly for the events that followed. The main celebrations started on Christmas Eve with the arrival of Santa and a special Gala Buffet at Lily Maa.

Art sessions with visiting Spanish artist, Elvira Carrasco, were unforgettable and a highlight of the Christmas celebrations, enjoyed immensely by all who took part. Portraits and faces were painted, galleries were browsed and techniques were learned at painting masterclasses.

On New Year’s Eve, Lily Beach’s culinary team prepared yet another spectacular gala dinner consisting of an explosion of mouthwatering treats. After dinner, we were mesmerised by magician, Adrian Chong, who left guests of all ages amazed. Later, we headed to the beach for our traditional Bon Voyage Bonfire which allowed us all to let go of our regrets for the year by writing them down and throwing them into the bonfire to allow us to go forward into the new year with a sense of renewal and no regrets. Then it was time to party and we danced our way into New Year’s Day!
