International Housekeeping Week at Lily Beach

Behind every luxurious villa resort is a dedicated team and at Lily Beach Resort & Spa Maldives the housekeeping team, is second to none in providing a clean, comfortable and welcoming home away from home for our guests. The team’s work is appreciated every single day but during International Housekeeping Week, we shone the spotlight on the great work they do. The week-long festivities take place every year during the second full week of September and we celebrated with some special events.

We all know that almost every great celebration involves cake so what better way to start the week than by cutting and eating a delicious cake together with the entire housekeeping department and Heads of Department. The team were able to showcase their artistic skills with the bed decoration and bed making competitions where their flair was put to the test. The team also all enjoyed Bodu beru entertainment, a friendly volleyball match and a staff dinner at the local island of Omadhoo. The housekeepers’ work is often behind the scenes and unobstrusive but integral to the amazing guest experience that Lily Beach prides itself on so it was a pleasure to be able to show extra appreciation to this amazing team.
