Oana is the resort’s Leisure Co-ordinator, she started working as a fitness trainer three years ago in a bid to see the world and discover new cultures while doing what she loves. So far, so good – before coming to the Maldives she worked in Bulgaria, Florida (in the USA), Spain and Italy and when asked why she loves her job so much, Oana replied ‘because it keeps me fit and allows me to be in contact with many people, and I can bring a smile on people’s faces every single day’.
Since starting her role at Lily Beach, Oana has put together a full program of leisure and fitness activities that will entice even the most avid sun worshippers away from their lounger for a while. Guests will find everything from Pilates and stretching to Zumba and aerobics, all taking place in Vibes.
The most popular class that Oana runs is yoga, mirroring the growing popularity all over the world due to its far reaching health benefits. Yoga is a morning class and it’s the perfect way to start the day.
